Plate Type Exchanger
(Open Circulation Side)
Geoclean 125 is a high-performance descaling solution
engineered exclusively for plate-type heat exchangers
operating on the open circulation side. This specialized
formula tackles tough deposits, mineral scaling, and
organic fouling that reduce thermal efficiency and
compromise water flow—restoring your system to like-new
performance without aggressive damage to the plates.
Whether used in HVAC systems, process cooling loops, or
utility heat exchangers, Geoclean 125 delivers precision
cleaning with minimal downtime and zero compromise on
material integrity.
- Tailored for Plate-Type Exchangers: Formulated specifically to clean narrow passages and complex geometries found in plate-type heat exchangers.
- Dissolves Scale & Organic Fouling: Effectively removes calcium deposits, bio-growth, and slime layers that hinder heat transfer and flow.
- Safe on Common Plate Materials: Gentle on compatible metallurgy, ensuring system reliability and protection during the descaling cycle.
- Quick Action, Minimal Downtime:Fast-acting chemistry minimizes system outage, helping restore performance quickly and efficiently.
- Non-Foaming, Easy Rinse Formula: Enables smooth, visible cleaning without foam buildup—rinses clean and leaves no residue behind.
- Improves Energy Efficiency: By removing insulating layers, Geoclean 125 enhances thermal conductivity and reduces operational energy load.
- Ideal for Preventive or Corrective Maintenance: Use during scheduled service or to recover underperforming systems—flexible and dependable.
- Inhibited Descaling Agent – preventive bare metal corrosion
- Powerful wetting and spreading property with penetrating agents, hence rapidly removes Scale and Deposit
- Biodegradable and will not harm the environment (ecofriendly)
- Easy to use and cost effective
Geoclean 2315 can be applied through various methods, depending on the equipment and scale buildup severity:
- Chemical Circulation: In closed-loop systems like condenser or heat exchanger units, Geoclean 2315 are often circulated through the equipment. This method is highly effective at removing scale, as the chemical solution continuously interacts with the deposits
- Immersion Soak: For smaller components or parts, immersion soaking in a diluted Geoclean 2315 solution can be used. This method allows the chemical to penetrate and dissolve the scale.
- Manual Brushing: In cases where scale buildup is severe or inaccessible, manual brushing with Geoclean 2315 solution may be necessary to physically remove the deposits.
Geoclean 2315 can be used at strengths between 10 and 25% and at temperatures up to 80°C, the speed of reaction being enhanced by acid strength and elevated temperature.
When the acid is approaching exhaustion the color of the solution will change from red to yellow and this indicates that more Geopure 1030 should be added.
After completion of descaling equipment should be drained and flushed thoroughly and any acid effluent neutralized.
NOTE - Geoclean 2315 should NOT be used on stainless steel, aluminum or galvanized surfaces.
Geopure 100 is formulated to be injected neat. However, if dilution is required, use deionized water or RO permeate. If neither of these is available, softened water may be substituted. The dilution for Geopure 100 should not result in a solution strength of less than 10%. This guideline will protect the effectiveness of the internal bacteriostat, which inhibits bacterial growth in the product packaging and feed tank.
Technical Support (Sales Backup) is available for chemicals selection, dosing, startup assistance, CIP supervision. Troubleshooting and all technical guidance.
