Geopure 4010 is a liquid corrosion inhibitor for closed recirculating cold water systems. Geopure 4010 is environmentally friendly and protect both ferrous and non-ferrous systems components. Geopure 4010 Molybdate (MoO4) is an anodic metal passivating agent to prevent the corrosion on the metal surfaces.
- Type:Liquid
- Appearance:Clear Colorless
- Solubility in water:Complete
- Specific Gravity @ 25ºC:1.02±0.05
- pH @ 25ºC:9.5 ~ 10.0
Physical Properties:
Geopure 4010 should be dosed proportional to the
system holdup up on intermittent basis within the
system water. Normally we recommend 2.0 ~ 3.0 Kg per
1000 Ltr. water.
Corrosion protection is provided by a protective
“barrier” film that is formed by a chemical reaction
between molybdate and iron. Therefore, initially the
iron surface must be reasonably clean and free of
corrosion products.
Geopure 4010 should be fed neat as required via pot
feeder, injection pump or chemical proportioning
pumps. Feed rates will vary depending on system type
and conditions.
Typically, a molybdenum concentration of 100-200 ppm
Mo is maintained in the system, and the pH & TDS
levels are maintained within their respective ranges
of 8.5-9.0 & 2500 µ/cm
