Geopure 7900 Nitrite & Molybdate blended corrosion
inhibitor is a superior blend of multi-metal corrosion
inhibitors for closed loop system containing chiller or
hot water. It prevents corrosion or rusting of metal by
forming a passive coating of protective oxide film on
steel.
Geopure 7900 Nitrite based corrosion inhibitor also
contains a special yellow metal (copper) corrosion
inhibitor, that protects copper and its alloys such as
cupro-nickel, brass etc., from corrosion.

Physical Properties:
Geopure 7900 Nitrite based corrosion inhibitor
program should be added directly to the system in
its neat form either in makeup tank or dose thru pot
feeder system. Typically utilized at 500 to 1,500
ppm at pH>7.5. Residuals (150 to 250 ppm) must be
maintained to constantly repair gaps in the film
barrier.
Start-up Dosage Pattern
The start-up (passivation) dosage of Geopure 7900 is
5 – 10 Kg. for each 1000 Ltr. of water in the system
This will provide a sodium nitrite residual of 300
ppm as NO2.
Note:
If the make-up water has high chloride levels e.g.
brackish water, then the normal dose rate should be
doubled.
Geopure 7900 is 2.0 – 4.0 Kg. for every 1000 Ltr. Makeup or as per the residual level.
