Corrosion Inhibitor for
Closed Cooling Water Systems
Geopure® 7900 is a high-performance corrosion inhibitor
engineered for closed loop cooling and chilled water
systems operating under challenging conditions. It
provides comprehensive protection to mild steel, copper,
and copper alloys by forming a durable, stable protective
layer on metal surfaces.
Designed for systems with low make-up water and high
operational stress, Geopure® 7900 ensures long-term
reliability, prevents under-deposit corrosion, and
minimizes the risk of leaks or equipment damage. It is
suitable for HVAC chilled water loops, industrial closed
cooling circuits, and other closed recirculating water
systems requiring robust, dual-mechanism corrosion
protection.

- Versatile Application: Suitable for HVAC chilled water loops, industrial closed cooling systems, Oil Filed and process cooling applications.
Geopure 7900 Nitrite based corrosion inhibitor
program should be added directly to the system in
its neat form either in makeup tank or dose thru pot
feeder system. Typically utilized at 500 to 1,500
ppm at pH>7.5. Residuals (150 to 250 ppm) must be
maintained to constantly repair gaps in the film
barrier.
Start-up Dosage Pattern
The start-up (passivation) dosage of Geopure 7900 is
5 – 10 Kg. for each 1000 Ltr. of water in the system
This will provide a sodium nitrite residual of 300
ppm as NO2.
Note:
If the make-up water has high chloride levels e.g.
brackish water, then the normal dose rate should be
doubled.
Geopure 7900 is 2.0 – 4.0 Kg. for every 1000 Ltr. Makeup or as per the residual level.
| pH | 9.5 – 10.5 |
